The Chipmunk Song

Words and music by Ross Bagdasarian

Christmas, Christmas time is near,
Time for toys and time for cheer.
We've been good but we can't last,
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast!
Want a plane that loops the loop;
Me, I want a hula hoop.
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas don't be late.

C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S

Words by Jenny Lou Carson and music by Eddy Arnold

When I was but a youngster Christmas meant one thing
That I'd be getting lots of toys that day.
I learned a whole lot diff'rent when mother sat me down
And taught me to spell Christmas this way.
"C" is for the Christ child born upon this day.
"H" for herald angels in the night.
"R" means our Redeemer,
"I" means Isreal,
"S" is for the star that shone so bright.
"T" is for three wise men, they who traveled far,
"M" is for the manger where He lay.
"A"'s for all He stands for,
"S" means shepherds came
And that's why there's a Christmas day.

The Christmas Song

Words and music by Mel Torme and Robert Wells

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping at your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all a-glow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.
They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And ev'ry mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.
And so, I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two.
Altho' it's been said many times, many ways:
"Merry Christmas to you."
Repeat

Christmas Time is Here

Words and music by Lee Mendelson and Vince Guaraldi

Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer.
Fun for all that children call their fav'rite time of year.

Snowflakes in the air, carols ev'rywhere.
Sleigh bells in the air, beauty ev'rywhere
Yuletide by the fireside and joyful mem'ries there.

Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer.
Fun for all that children call their fav'rite time of year.

The Christmas Waltz

Words by Sammy Cahn and music by Jule Styne

Frosted window panes, candles gleaming inside,
Painted candy canes on the tree;
Santa's on his way, he's filled his sleigh with things,
Things for you and for me.
It's that time of year
When the world falls in love,
Ev'ry song you hear seems to say:
"Merry Chirstmas, May your New Year dreams come true."
And this song of mine, in three-quarter time,
Wishes you and yours the same thing too.

Coventry Carol

Words by Robert Croo, Traditional English melody

Lul-lay, Thou little tiny child
Bye bye, lul-ly lul-lay.
Lul-lay Thou little tiny child
Bye bye lul-ly lul-lay

O sisters too, how may we do,
For to preserve this day.
This poor youngling for whom we sing,
Bye, bye, lul-ly, lul-lay

Herod the king in his raging,
Charged he hath this day.
His men of might, in his own sight,
All children young to slay.

Then woe is me, poor Child, for Thee,
And ever mourn and say.
For Thy parting nor say nor sing,
Bye, bye, lul-ly, lul-lay.
