The Cinnamon Bear was a radio show that was first broadcast in 1937 between Thanksgiving and Christmas with the last episode airing on Christmas Eve. The show was broadcast in many areas of the United States through the 1950's and may still be heard in some locations. The story relates the adventures of Jimmy and Judy and their friend, a bear named Paddy O'Cinnamon, the Cinnamon Bear, in Maybeland as they search for the silver star that sits atop their Christmas tree. They meet many interesting characters, some helpful some not so helpful, like the Crazy Quilt Dragon, the Inkaboos, Presto the magician, the Wintergreen Witch, and even Santa Claus, as they look for their tree topper.
